Often the Village of Fort Plain investigates crimes where the suspect has left the jurisdiction and refuses to return.  In cases such as those the local criminal court often grants a Warrant of Arrest. 

In cases where defendants fail to appear in court for a scheduled appearance, or they fail to pay their fines as ordered by the court, the court issues a Bench Warrant. 

Below is a current list (updated 8/2011) of individuals we are seeking in an effort to close criminal cases, secure their presence in court as required, or obtain the fines they were levied by the Town Justice:
